Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 9, 2026 ยท Last Updated: March 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rezonance ("the Platform"), operated by Rezonance Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Rezonance is a civic engagement platform that enables United States citizens and residents to track federal legislation, read AI-generated analyses and summaries of bills, view legislator voting records, participate in polls, and engage in public civic discussions through the Town Square. The Platform also generates aggregate civic insights, trend data, and reports derived from user engagement and activity.

Legislative data is sourced from official government APIs including Congress.gov. AI-generated summaries and analyses are produced by large language models and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice and may contain inaccuracies.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Platform. Certain features, such as citizenship verification and civic participation tools, may require you to be a United States citizen or resident and at least 18 years of age. By using these features, you represent that you meet the applicable eligibility requirements.

4. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address or third-party authentication provider (e.g., Google or X/Twitter via Auth0). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.

5. User Conduct

Rezonance is designed to foster informed, respectful civic discourse. When using the Platform, you agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or deliberately deceptive content
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or personally attack other users
  • Impersonate any person, lawmaker, government official, or entity
  • Engage in spam, astroturfing, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Attempt to manipulate platform features, voting mechanisms, or trending algorithms
  • Upload malicious code, scrape content, or interfere with Platform operations
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to incite illegal activity
  • Circumvent citizenship verification or misrepresent your identity or affiliations

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our sole discretion.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform, including comments, posts, and discussion contributions ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Rezonance a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store your User Content in connection with operating and improving the Platform.

You represent that you have the right to post any User Content you submit and that it does not violate the rights of any third party. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate bill summaries, analyses, and responses to user queries. AI-generated content is provided "as is" for informational and educational purposes only. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice.

AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-generated content. You should independently verify any information before relying on it, particularly for decisions with legal or civic consequences. We strongly recommend consulting the original bill text and official government sources for authoritative information.

8. Legislative Data

Legislative data displayed on the Platform is sourced from public government APIs and databases. While we strive to keep this data accurate and current, there may be delays between official updates and their appearance on the Platform. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in upstream government data sources.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, AI models, branding, and original content, is the property of Rezonance Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform materials without our written permission.

Legislative text and government data displayed on the Platform are in the public domain and are not subject to this restriction.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described therein.

11. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Auth0 (authentication), Congress.gov (legislative data), and Sentry (error monitoring). Your use of features powered by these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

12. Nonpartisan Platform

Rezonance is committed to providing a nonpartisan platform. We do not endorse or oppose any political party, candidate, or legislative position. The inclusion of political affiliation data, voting records, or party information is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an endorsement.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rezonance Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content, legislative data, or user-generated discussions.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rezonance Inc. from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, indemnification, and intellectual property) shall survive.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
